When not in Rome

The New England Patriots are a few days away from taking on the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI. This will be the Pats IXth appearance in the Super Bowl and VIIth Super Bowl for Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. These will be new records for a team, a player and a coach. II things come to mind. I) The Patriots run has been amazing over the last XVI years: XIV Division titles, VII conference titles and IV or V Super Bowls. Amazing. Brady’s worst ever winning percentage was LVI et unum quarterium per cent (56.25%) when they went IX et VII (9-7) in his first full season, finishing tied for primum in the Division but missing the playoffs because of a tie-breaker. I’ll get over this at some point - maybe after Brady wins a quintam or sextam Super Bowl ring. II) It is time for the NFL to drop the Roman

Numerals because nobody knows what L stands for and it looks stupid. Switch to digits or just stop numbering games. It is no less ridiculous for the NFL to use Roman numerals than for me to use them.
